Marsworth Update.

You may or may not have read my POST, Utter Disgrace at Marsworth.
This was the mess that greeted me when I went to put my rubbish in the bins, you can read the full story if you kick on POST.

I have been in constant contact with Canal and River Trust South East, who agreed the mess was unacceptable and they would get it cleared away. They were also going to try and find out who had fly tipped the bricks, pea-shingle and rubble. Today I received a message from them saying "We have removed all the loose rubbish and are working out how best to dispose of the bricks in the bins". Now that is what I call service. Whenever I have contacted the Canal and River Trust South East, they have been on the case immediately sorting out whatever problem I have reported. So thank you to the South East team, your response time is amazing and you can be proud of the work you do.
At the end of the day, we all have a responsibility to look after our canals and countryside and that includes the refuse sites. The bins are put there for a reason and it is not the responsibility of the Biffa gentlemen to pick up the rubbish on the ground, they are just there to empty the bins. The fool hardy people who dumped their rubbish, have cost the trust money in man hours today, when the crew could have been out there repairing the canal or cutting back the vegetation. THINK BEFORE YOU DUMP.

As for the bricks and rubble, I have suggested they be recycled in someway.
