The Droitwich Canals were officially reopened yesterday by Secretary of State for DEFRA, Caroline Spelman. The whole proceeding's went very well, and many people from the boats and town turned out to join in with this momentous occasion. The sun shone brightly and everyone had a great time. The special guests arrived at the marquee by boat, and the ceremony was completed by a small parade of historic boats.
Boats paraded along the canal as it was officially opened. It was in all an excellent day.
