A celebration of Alex Bennett and NB Tench

2 comments:

  1. Thank you Jo for posting this lovely, moving tribute. I never met Alex but I did hop a ride on her amazing boat as Heather Wastie cruised through Braunston last year as part of Alarum Theatre's Idle Women tour. Though I never met her, the loss of her life impacted me by making me grateful for my own and more careful of how I come and go aboard NBV. Blessed Be,

  2. Hi Jaq.

Alex was such a vibrant person and you could not help but like her. We first met her when she had bought Tench. I then got to know her better when the Alarum theatre came to Saltisford. We helped the boats up the Hatton Flight after the event and we then met up again at events towards the end of the year. Both Alex and Dexter will be sadly missed. It has also made me think about what we do on the boat and about my own mortality. Love and hugs xxxx
