Volunteer lock-keepers needed to help new charity

With the New Charity status coming in this year British Waterway's are making a big thing about volunteers.
If you love the waterway's and have a few hours to spend out in the fresh air then why not get involved.

In Market Harborough they have the Harborough Towpathers who look after a mile stretch of towpath, from the Wharf to br14 The Old Union Canal Society moorings. The group go out and pick up litter, painting, cutting back shrubs and will be doing hedge laying and path laying. It is a great way to meet people and to look after a stretch of waterway near them. Keith and I have helped out and enjoyed every moment.

If you feel you can help have a look at the British Waterway's site. http://www.britishwaterways.co.uk/be-part-of-it/volunteering
