Meeting up with friends.

Hi Folks.

I must have time on my hands if I am posting a second posting, but I thought I would share our visitors Greg and Marika with you.
After mooring up, we made a quick visit into the village to find the shop, because we were in need of bread and eggs. According to Nicholson's there was supposed to be a butcher and a bakery, but they have both gone, now there is a post office and a small shop come off-licence. When we got back I made us both a coffee, before a quick change into something less tatty. I do not think dungarees and t-shirt are right for lunch with friends who have travelled from Australia.

Keith went and met Greg and Marika as they came a long the towpath, we then welcomed them onboard Hadar. Greg Marika live in Australia and have been cycling in Athens and Portugal, they they are visiting the UK to meet old friends from when they lived here for a while, before going back to Australia next week. After showing them around the boat, we had a lovely lunch at The Hartley Arms.

Banks's Beer and lovely food, which was a good price. For four main meals and drinks we paid just over £29. This was excellent value for money. I had a fruity Chicken curry, Keith and Chilli and Greg and Marika had a large Yorkshire Pudding filled with Sausage, Mash, Peas and Gravy. Not only was the food yummy, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I should also say the place was packed which is always a good sign that it is a good pub.

After a walk up to Wheaton Aston Lock to show Greg and Marika how it worked, we said cheerio to them both as they were off to Tamworth to see Harry Potter. It was wonderful to see them again, the last time we met up with them was when Hadar had just come out of the shed after being built, she was then waiting to go into the paint shed. Since then she has been well used and abused LOL.

I am now recovering from my lovely lunch, with a coffee and the TV is on, but the signal is a little iffy, so not sure if we will get much to watch tonight.
