How very sad to see yet another boat sunk in a lock. This one happened today on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Johnson's Hillock ( Top Lock 58 ). My hope is that no one was hurt. Apparently the boat got caught on the cill. This is happening more and more often, which is a serious problem.
UPDATE (03 August 2012): The canal has Re-opened at this location
